¶ Cf. Wolters #1289. Visser initially created stylized, iron bird sculptures and had his first solo exhibition in 1954 at Galerie Martinet in Amsterdam. A well-known early work is 'Stervend paard' (ca. 1949). Later his sculptural style became more abstract. He exhibited at the 4.documenta in Kassel and the Venice Biennale.
