¶ 'The Arcadian Deer' is a 10-page short story written by Agatha Christie (1890-1976) first published here - illustrated by Ernest Ratcliff (black and white drawings depicting scenes from the story). It was included in the collection The Labors of Hercules in 1947. In 2013 a film adaptation appeared as part of the last TV series of Agatha Christie's Poirot.
