"Imagine having designed the cover for one of the best, if not the best Dutch book of all time and no one knowing of your existence. That's what happened to Ies Spreekmeester. Albert Wulffers, trained as a graphic & typographic designer and an idol of De avonden for about sixty years, decided to do something about it."
¶ Spreekmeester designed children's books, Gouden Boekjes ('Het boek van de vier kleur-pot-lo-den'), drawings for court reports, advertising work, covers for Proost Prikkels, the Artis Guide in 1963 and colored pencils on the Bruynzeel boxes.
