Collection of poems by Annie van Kooten (1910-1999); a collection of beautiful Haiku's. Text set from the Sabon and printed by Hooiberg in Epe. FIRST EDITION: 250 copies.
Uitgeverij De Liefde consisted of writer / TV maker Kees van Kooten (1941-) and his mother Annie, whose home address is stated in the colophon as the publishers head quarters. "We numbered all copies by hand." Distribution went through a number of bookshops in The Hague and Van Kooten sold the beautifully designed booklets also separately from 'under the table' during his own signing sessions" in order to recoup some of the [expensive] printing costs."
¶ Two more reprints appeared later; the second edition (in 1987; 1000 copies) with a foreword by Kees and the third as a bibliophile edition in 1992 at the Maastricht Arcadia bookshop. Of the latter (revised and expanded) edition, 500 copies were manufactured. "Waarlangs streek de wind / die ik nu op mijn wang voel? / Hij komt van zo ver!"
