Charles Webster Leadbeater (1854-1934) was a British bishop of the Liberal Catholic Church who is mainly known as a theosophist. Leadbeater was originally an Anglican priest. He became a member of the Theosophical Society in 1883. After meeting Helena Petrovna Blavatsky in London in 1884, he left for India.
