Collection of texts by mr. Ferdinand Bordewijk (1884-1965) dealing with the 'hofstad' 's-Gravenhage [The Hague]. Published on the occasion of the centenary of the Haagse Boekhandelsvereniging in September 1954. The softcover version of the book was distributed as a gift by the bookshops in the region. Cf. Gaarlandt Catalogus (2007) p. [13].

¶ With a total print run of 12250 copies, only 150 copies were bound in linen, with dust jacket by Nacieron (= Oxenaar and Kuiper). A small number of these were signed by the writer. This is one of those 150 bound copies. Unfortunately without dust jacket and not signed. But definitely one of the rarer Bordwijk items.
