This original hand-painted movie cell (30 x 40 cm) with iconic film still is manufactured in the 1960s. In passe-partout and black wooden frame (49 x 59 cm). From the Capitol Theater in Rotterdam (closed in 1980). With stamps on the reverse side. Very desirable collector's item.
¶ "Red Hot Riding Hood" is an American short cartoon from 1943 by Tex Avery (1908-1980) the spiritual father of, among others, Bugs Bunny. The movie is another adaptation of the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood. This time, the wolf is a man who wants to seduce young girls, in this case Little Red Riding Hood who has been transformed into a teenager who acts as a nightclub dancer. The wolf tries to catch her after a concert, but is eventually chased himself by the eager grandmother.
