Obscure vintage gay erotic magazine with black and white nude photography and comics by the Finnish artist Tom of Finland (= Touko Laaksonen, 1920-1991). Undated, but probably circa 1970, Tom is referred to as 'Tom of STUDIO 34'.
¶ By the late 1960s, Tom's "dirty drawings" became the standard for gay art and Tom's men became an example of the new homosexual masculinity. Tom's art still plays an important role in promoting self-confidence, a positive self-image and openness in the gay community.
