Condition: Good - cover with wear, faint old water stains.
Curious picture book with (nowadays probably labeled as very politically wrong) rhymes for children, about a negro doll from Africa. Undated, not in De Bodt / Kapelle; not in Brinkman; according to NCC only present in three public collections in The Netherlands.
¶ "Piet kwam uit een negerdorpje, net als Piet van Sinterklaas. In dat dorpje woonden nikkers, en een koning was er baas" [transl. "Piet came from a negro village, just like Piet from Sinterklaas. Niggers lived in that village, and a king was boss"]. A rare and obscure museum worthy object. The Dutch TV show DWDD once devoted attention to it with Sander van de Pavert of Lucky TV.
