¶ In 1968 a hardcover of Het bittere kruid was published, but then together with Een leeg huis. However, this anniversary edition (21st edition) is the FIRST HARDBACK EDITION as a separate publication. A unique leather-bound copy was also produced - according to the HANDWRITTEN dedication in this copy - especially for the writer, who thanks its bookbinder, P.A.J. van Daalen: "met heel veel dank [...]."
