Biography of the American / Dutch "gangster" Steven Kees Aaron Brown (1954-), the former criminal and key witness in the trial of ex-policeman Martin Hoogland (1956-2004) for the murder of crime boss Klaas Bruinsma in 1991. Illustrated with black and white photos.
¶ Initially Brown cooperated with this book, but because he could not agree with the text written by Van Hout, he tried to prevent the publication. With the first first printing came a wrap-around band with the text "Beloning Fl. 500.000 dood of levend" ["Reward Fl. 500.000 dead or alive"] which was the reason to have the book withdrawn from the market. Brown published 'Drugsbaron in Spijkerbroek' in 1995 together with ghostwriter Peter Stuivenberg.
