¶ In his best-known book Three Men in a Boat (1889), Jerome described in an inimitable way, with many asides, the experiences of three friends taking a boat trip on the Thames. This book was followed by Three Men on the Bummel, in which the same three friends embark on a tour of Germany.

This copy has been restored and provided with new endpapers by master bookbinder Hans Zegveld of Handboekbinderij Pagina 1. The book is now ready for at least another century.
