First volume in 8 issues of the Dutch version of the well-known American nude magazine by Hugh Hefner (1926-2017) with his foreword. Illustrated with photos, reproductions and advertisements in colour and black and white. The cover of No. 1 was issued with a red-white-blue wrap-around-band.

The first and second test copies appeared in October and November 1982. The May 1983 issue was the official debut of the nude magazine in the Netherlands and was launched in an edition of 135,000 copies. The first Dutch Playmate was Ellen Soeters (1956-), visible on the cover and photographed as centerfold by Wim Baggelaar.

(December): Christmas issue with a story ('De nooduitgang') by Willem Frederik Hermans and Science Fiction about three astronauts on the moon (by James Michener).
