Bound monthly health magazine from the 1930s; complete series of 12 episodes. Illustrated with black and white photos, reproductions and nostalgic advertisements. With book section (no index). Master binder Hans Zegveld has provided this volume with a half cloth binding with the title in silver stamp on the spine.

Volume 15 contains articles and letters to the editors about gymnastics (daily exercises), artificial blood, facial massage by an electrical device called Sanax, the dangers of the gas stove and the connection of smoking with stomach ulcers. Fortunately, there is an advertisement for "Onschadelijk Rooken" dankzij de 'antinicotineprop' (a kind of filters?), available "per doos van 100 proppen voor sigaar en tabakspijp (Fl. 1,25) en voor sigaretten (Fl 1,-)."

¶ Advertising for Nestlé's Farine lactée infant meal, Marmite food extract and Visser's menthol eucalyptus bonbons. On p. 67 an article on whether Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy was a Jew (which was seen as an insult in the 1930s), on p. 104 I.M. Marie Curie and on p. 109 two giantesses from Germany.

FURTHER: An article on [transl.] 'A Danger to the White Race' with statistics to back it up that "the biological power of the white race appears to be paralyzed and that of the colored to be awakened." The whites will be threatened on their own territory because: "The increase in the Negro population in North America is greater than that of the white Americans."
