Antique children's book with the first Dutch translation of The Secret Garden (1911); the classic by Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924). Illustrated with 8 COLOUR plates in the style of Arthur Rackham. Hardcover edition.
¶ This copy is very fresh and attractive in appearance. Of the eight plates promised in the subtitle, I counted seven in the interior. The eighth has been pasted to the front cover by the publisher. Published somewhere between 1915 and 1920. Another version of this third edition appeared (probably much later); in art deco binding with dust jacket.
