¶ Juliette is, together with 'The 120 Days of Sodom', the darkest and most terrible book in existence. It is partly a mirror of the horrors of the late 18th century (it features some historical figures). Above all, it is a very original work of thought, sometimes even sparkling with fantasy and humor.
