Condition: Good - a very nice copy in appearance, but the "prijsvraagkaart" is missing (as usual) and a contemporary previous owner wrote the author's name on the title page.

Boekenweekgeschenk 1947. A novella, originally published anonymously. Typography by Charles Nypels with illustration by Cuno van der Steene (1909-1971) on the cover. There should be a tear-out "prijsvraagkaart" at the back.

¶ The booklet was distributed free of charge with the purchase of Fl 2.50 worth of books. Circulation: 125,000 copies. On April 15, 1947, Antoon Coolen turned out to be the author of this resistance story with the motto 'Ships that pass in the night'. [Cf. De Bakker p. [18]; Blom p. 65].
