Collection of poems (literary magazine), compiled by and with contributions from the Dutch poet Gerard den Brabander, Harold de Clauer [= Harm Brander] and M.L.Yzebrands [= Michiel Lebertus Huizinga].

Published clandestinely during the German occupation in World War II and printed by De Ploeg artist H.N. Werkman in an edition of 1000 copies. Cf. De Jong 1002; Simoni S30; Lewin p. 274. Dekkers G-245; Not in Hot Printing.

¶ Gerard den Brabander was the pseudonym of book designer Jan Gerardus Jofriet (1900-1968). This first issue (a second was published after the war) contains translations of poetry by Charles Baudelaire, Edgar Allan Poe (The Raven) and Omar Khayyam. The poem 'Huis te huur' is about deported Jews.
