¶ Text in Dutch and French ("Traduit du Hollandais par L.G.F. Kerroux, Maitre de Langues"). Dedicated to "Zyne doorluchtige hoogheid Willem den Vijfde, Prinse van Oranje en Nassau". The author first briefly outlines the history of the graphic arts (including André Murano, Albert Dürer and Hubertus Goltzius) and then explains his new method (in which he uses magnifying glasses).
