¶ The German NSDAP composer Herms Niel, pseudonym of Hermann Nielebock (1888 - 1954) wrote this marching song around 1930. It was first published in 1938. Of all the marching songs composed by him, 'Erika' was sung the most during the Second World War. The song is featured in the movie 'Schindler's List' (1993).
