Antiquarian ABC booklet (dating from late 19th century) for children to learn the alphabet. Illustrated with chromolithographs (lithographs in colour); including a Dutch windmill at the letter M (Molen) and a polar bear at the letter Y (= IJsbeer in Dutch). Cf. Geel p. 93-95; Buijnsters p. 148-151.

¶ In this copy loose contemporary letters and numbers have been pasted in as well as dice dots applied with black ink. The booklet may have been used as an exercise in spelling and arithmetic by a 19th century teacher and student (?).
