Condition: Fragile - without cover. With 2 separate manuscript maps.

School notebook / scrapbook of approximately 12 year old Jan Cremer, with handwritten teaching material about the topography of the Dutch provinces and place names. Illustrated with drawings in COLOUR (Gelderland, Overijssel, the Schelde). Pasted in are some clippings.

¶ Among the places to learn we also find Enschede, the birthplace of the later artist / writer. Attached are two hand-drawn maps, colored with wax crayon on transparent chintz paper: 1. BELGIUM (29 x 26 cm); 2. DRENTE (16.5 x 20 cm). With a copy of the certificate of authenticity from the large Jan Cremer auction from 2013.
