First (actually third) Dutch issue of the well-known American nude magazine by Hugh Hefner (1926-2017) with his foreword. Illustrated with photos, reproductions and advertisements in colour and black and white. The cover got a red-white-blue wrap-around band.
In October and November 1982 the 'zero issue' and a second test copy appeared. This number one was the official debut of the nude magazine in the Netherlands and was launched in an edition of 135,000 copies. The first Dutch Playmate was Ellen Soeters (1956-), visible on the cover and photographed as centerfold by Wim Baggelaar.
