Architectural history overview of the Sint Elizabeth Hospital on the Utrechtseweg in the Gelderland capital, built at the end of the 19th century in neo-Renaissance style by architect J.W. Boerbooms (1849-1899). Illustrated with black and white photos and map. With bibliography.

¶ Arnhemse Monumentenreeks 9. The hospital was one of the most efficient hospitals in the Netherlands at the time. It was in use until 1995; then apartments were built in it. The main building and chapel are national monuments. The book deals with i.a. new construction in the 1930s and the events surrounding the building during the Battle of Arnhem (1944).
