Collection of sketches from the years 1913-1943 by Nescio, the pseudonym of the Amsterdam writer Jan Hendrik Frederik Grönloh (1882-1961). Fourth part in the 'Het Zwarte Schaap' series.

¶ "Mene mene tekel ufarsin" is a mysterious saying that, according to the biblical story of Daniel (Old Testament), appeared on a wall during the feast of the Babylonian king Belshazzar.
