Dutch children's magazine, published during the Second World War on fragile paper. With letter section hosted by Oom Vrolijk. Cf. Rietveld-van Wingerden 381.
This issue with a Christmas story ('Het kerstfeest van Bob en Theo'), Loetje Burgermans, Gijsje Goochem buys a Christmas tree and the results of the Sinterklaas competition (Neely Leeflang from Groenekan won a booklet by Marten Toonder's Tom Poes).
¶ On the front page a comic strip ['The Adventures of Sailor Stoppel'] by C. Robben. It concerns a serial, apparently set in Africa. It contains stereotypical racist images of African inhabitants and casual (nowadays dubious) texts [transl.:
"Like an angry Gorilla /
The Nigger went on a rampage /
"Let me go!" he then begged /
"I'll give you gold, what more could you want!"
