Dutch translation of Histoire d'O (1954); the famous sadomasochistic novel, published under a pseudonym, by the French journalist Anne Desclos (1907-1998). The protagonist 'O' is subjected to corporal punishment (whipping, branding) by a strict master.

¶ The book is considered a classic erotic masterpiece in the genre and was made into a film in the 1970s by Just Jaeckin with Corinne Cléry and Udo Kier in the leading roles. This is the FIRST DUTCH EDITION with a suggestive cover by Karel Beunis and J. Cursto. Between 1969 and 1972 at least 8 titles were published in the unnamed 'Erotische Reeks'.
