Anthology with 'the collected works' by the French all-round artist Roland Topor (1938-1997) translated into Dutch. Illustrated with reproductions of his cartoons and artwork in COLOUR (i.a. a poster design for the novel 'Die Blechtrommel' by Gunther Grass). Hardback edition. The book includes a CD version of the LP record 'Roland Topor - PANIC: The Golden Years' (1975/1976).
Arnon Grunberg used the prize money he received for 'De asielzoeker' (2003) to co-finance this compilation. As a big fan of Topor's work, he used one of his artworks as an illustration on the cover of his debut novel 'Blue Mondays' (1994).
¶ This copy with SIGNATURE of Arnon Grunberg on the half-title and on the title page SIGNED with handwritten dedication ("met liefde voor Roland!") by Emmanuelle actress Sylvia Kristel (1952-2012) who received drawing lessons from Topor. As a director in New York, Kristel received a special jury prize from the Tribeca Film Festival by Robert De Niro for the short animated film 'Topor et Moi' (2006).
