Antique picture book from the 1930s set in exotic Africa where Sjeffie Sjabbo lived with "the other negroes of the tribe." Illustrated with black and white drawings. Series Kinderbibliotheek No 5. In the back advertising for 'Het raadsel van den knotwilg' by Frans Mandos Tzn and other titles.

¶ Obscure title with typical characterization of black people for that time, which will probably be seen as racist today. Scarce item; NCC: only once in public possession (KB Royal Library). Not in De Bodt / Kapelle.
