Catalogue of the first Sonsbeek sculpture exhibition, held in the Arnhem city park after the Second World War. Illustrated with black and white photos. With foreword by H.M.A. Klompé, Chairman of the Committee.
Participating artists included Mari Andriessen, Joseph Bernard, Jozef Cantré, Wessel Couzijn, Jacob Epstein, Hildo Krop, Titus Leeser, Jacques Lipschitz, Jozef Mendes Da Costa, Henry Moore, Jacob Probst, John A. Raedecker, Auguste Rodin, Gra JW Rueb , Gerrit van der Veen, Rik Wouters, Ossip Zadkine and Johan van Zweden.
¶ Not all artworks had images included. The previous owner enriched this copy of the catalogue with 16 private shots of sculptures in the park that did not appear in the booklet. The prints (6 x 6 cm square black and white photos) were pasted on the pages with long lists of guests of honor and organizers (which were clearly considered redundant). Unique and very authentic documentation.
