Homo-erotic comic strip in the KAKE series by Finnish artist Tom of Finland (= Touko Laaksonen, 1920-1991). Illustrated in black and white. Reprint from the late 80s (the first edition appeared with a different cover in 1975).

In this issue Kake is hoisted up with a crane and plays with tough freight workers. In the back other pornographic comics (featuring MIKE) 'From Tom's Archive'. Cf. Hanson p. 405; Bertolotti p. 175; Van Os p. 176. Original vintage editions, including early reprints, of this series are rare.

¶ Between 1968 and 1986, Tom published 26 episodes of Kake's adventures, comics starring hypermasculine men and wonderful leather gays. By the late 1960s, Tom's "dirty drawings" had become the standard for gay art, and Tom's men a model for the new gay masculinity.
