"Een klein dik boek" [= A small thick book] in pocketbook size with a detective story, designed in the style of vintage hard boiled detectives and the Dutch Dick Bos booklets. The drawings are printed in COLOUR. An 'Authorized Edition' is mentioned on the cover but we can't find anything about it. Google Lens refers to comics such as Dick Tracy and MAD.
At the back it is stated that the story is based on the tragedy 'Den Grooten Tamerlaan' by J. Serwouters (1661) and that "copying was completed on 11-3-2016." It does indeed seem that the book itself has been put together by hand, but very well done. Perhaps a graduation project for an art academy? An artist's book? Possibly UNIQUE.
¶ One of the protagonists (a warlike 'off-duty major') in this story is called Timoer Lenk. The Turkish-Mongolian warlord Timur Lenk or Tamerlane (1336-1405) is considered together with Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan, as one of the greatest conquerors in world history. He is a big hero in Uzbekistan.
