¶ The work of Imi (actually Klaus Wolf) Knoebel is considered minimal art. Photography and film were introduced into Knoebel's work from 1968 onwards. For example, he used slides to project planes of light onto walls, after which he photographed the space thus transformed. In 1970, he projected X-shaped beams of light onto buildings during a nighttime car ride. The resulting photo and film series Projektion is stored in the Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt.
