¶ This was the first important survey work (on the paintings, watercolors, drawings and graphics) of the The Hague born painter. Includes the famous 'Snijden aan gras 1' (1966), 'Visvrouw' (1951), 'Schoolmeester met kind' (1961), 'Soldaat in landschap' (1972) and 'Opdrogende baadster' (1967). Westerik was a member of the Verve group together with Herman Berserik, Jan van Heel, Willem Hussem and Jaap Nanninga.
