Antiquarische brochure over het (destijds) hoogste gebouw ter wereld, de Woolworth wolkenkrabber in Manhattan (New York). Geïllustreerd met zwart-wit foto's van exterieur en interieur (3 reproducties in kleur) door J.C. Maugans. Typografie en design: Munder-Thomsen Company, Baltimore.
¶ Het Woolworth Building is gelegen tussen Barclay Street en Park Place. Het gebouw werd ontworpen door de Amerikaanse architect Cass Gilbert (1859-1934) en werd voltooid in 1913. Het was 17 jaar lang met 241 meter het hoogste kantoorgebouw ter wereld. In 1930 werd het gebouw overtroffen door het 41 meter hogere 40 Wall Street (inmiddels bekend als Trump Building). - Wikipedia.
